Pre/Post Fundamentals (TR15220)

3 Day Class

Intended for design engineers and analysts who are looking to gain knowledge in perform finite element analysis (FEA), this course covers finite element modeling and results visualization in Simcenter Pre/Post. Students will learn the FEA processes – including model preparation, mesh generation and manipulation, material definition, boundary conditions, FEA model checking and solving, and post-processing results.

Course Topics:

• Build and analyze a finite element model with Pre/Post
• Generate a mesh on the model
• Apply boundary conditions to the model
• Select materials and physical properties for the model
• Use fields and expressions to apply boundary conditions

Thermal Simulation (TR15223)

2 Day Class

For design engineers and analysts who use Simcenter to model heat transfer, this course introduces product simulation and analysis in Simcenter Pre/Post for heat transfer applications.
